"So we ended up writing a love song called “The Truth” and we sent it over to Kygo and he really liked it. We woke up the next morning to a couple of emails and one said “Hey, you know, if you change like just a couple of words in this, it becomes a breakup song” and he was like “I actually think the song is stronger this way”. I think a lot of people don’t know that not only is he a great producer but he is a really strong songwriter and it was really fun to go back and worth especially with the vocal chops which were a team effort."
